Want to know my everyday skin care regimen?

Hi guys! A lot of people ask me about the skin care products I use and what regimen I follow everyday. Although, I don’t have great skin, sometimes you need people with not so great skin telling you what they do 😛 I have to say that everyone can follow the regimen I do each day, but the products can absolutely differ depending on your skin. I like to have options since I have combination skin with dry T zone. I like to switch things around. I love trying new products for my skin, and yes, some of them lead me to breakout; but, it doesn’t stop me from trying new products. I am not a big fan of using the same brand for all my skin care for some reason. Taking care of your skin is very important and knowing the right products for your skin can be hard. Hopefully I can help with that. Investing in a good skin care regimen is extremely important – remember good skin requires commitment and not a miracle!
My skin care routine starts at night with one of the most important steps in skin care: taking my makeup off! I have many different ways of taking my makeup off and that depends on the kind of makeup I am wearing. If I am wearing a lot of makeup with a good amount of mascara and liner I take a little of Shiseido Perfect Cleansing Oil and gently rub it around my eyes and then with a warm Makeup Eraser I gently clean my face. This thing is legit it takes everything off! Then, I use a mild cleanser like the Peter Thomas Roth anti-Aging Gel Cleanser, because I need a nice clean skin in order for my routine to work 🙂 To make sure I got everything, I sometimes use witch hazel. Witch hazel is such an underrated product, and it surely is one of my fav products. If used correctly it can help control excessive sebum production. But, if I only have light everyday makeup on I use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water on a cotton round and take the makeup off. Then I use the Eminence Monoi Age Corrective Exfoliating Cleanser. To tone my skin I sometimes use a witch hazel or sometimes the super refreshing Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner from Fresh. Once my skin is clean and toned I take a light SKII Facial Treatment Essence onto my hands and pat it on my face, neck and décolleté. Once that is absorbed into the skin, I use this brightening serum from Sofina I got from Japan or I use the Kora Organics Noni Glow Oil. I top it all with the La mer cream. Currently, I’m using Derma Plus Vitamin K eye cream for my under eye dark circles. I never skip this step! Lastly, something that mostly everyone forgets is the neck.I take pea size amount of my fingers and, using upward strokes, apply the StriVectin Tightening neck cream.
I know it’s a bit much to think about, but once you start following a routine every night, it only takes a few minutes.

When I wake up, my skin still looks pretty fresh. In the shower I usually wash my face. I usually like to use mild cleanser, but sometimes when I feel like I am breaking out I switch to Replenix acne wash. The 10% Benzoyl Peroxide instantly helps with the acne. I tone my face while it’s still damp from the steam. Then I apply the La mer cream or sometimes I use Tata Harper Hydrant Reconstituant only if I am feeling oily. The last step is to apply a SPF. I use Chantecallie SPF 45. It’s also a primer 🙂

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna

Hey guys!

I’m reviewing this product I tried a couple of months back! I know a lot of you wanted to know if the fenty beauty pro filt’r soft matte longwear foundation was worth!

i got the foundation at the store bc i believe in trying and matching the color instead of just getting it online. you never know with the getting things like foundations, concealers, even lipstick if they will match or look good on your face. not only that but what if you don’t like the texture? yeah you can exchange it but i am that person who wants to get it right the first time, besides I’m not a firm believer of returning things. maybe thats bc i grew up in India and in india you don’t get to return stuff, isn’t that just sad. :/

Anyway, getting back to the product, i loved how it had a lot of color options not just that but also the undertones.:) I chose 330, that is for tan skin. its funny how drastically different it from 340, is what i chose for my mom. here’s the difference my skin is tan with acne spots and is combination with more oily parts than dry, the 330 with yellow undertone worked perfectly for me. i loved the matte finish and  it felt very light in texture. the coverage coverage was good but i wont say it was great coverage compared to a lot of other foundations iv used. but again those foundations feel super heavy and caked. the Fenty beauty by Rihanna soft matte foundation has good amount of pigment so didn’t need a lot of it, but when i did add a few more drops on my beauty blender i got a good amount of coverage.  i paired it with the cover fx mattifying primer and it was great still did not feel cakey.. For my mom her skin is maybe a shade darker than mine and has great texture, but she has un even skin tone meaning dark pigmentation spots. only a drop of the 340 was great with the pink undertone on a foundation brush,  gave her a flawless finish. her skin is a bit dryer so we used the hourglass primer serum. even though the foundation has a soft matte finish, her skin looked stain like which was great.  another nice thing about this foundation is as the name suggests it  is a longwear foundation, with the oil primer it didn’t last as long as it did without but it still looked pretty amazing for at least 5 hours. 🙂 I’m sure if I got the Fenty beauty  instant retouch primer it would maybe last even longer but i already have a lot of primers and in the end of the day i believe they all do the same thing. 😛

All in all i would say its a wonderful foundation iv tried a lot of foundations and this one in particular seems has a good balance of good coverage and great texture. perfect foundation for someone who is looking for sheer to medium coverage, matte finish and light feel.

Its a Yay!
